Teenage motherhood is a big challenge to a girl child, with no social family, friends and community support. Sadly majority of these girls have conceived following rape or sexual violence, often resulting in life long consequences for their health and education prospects

This project seeks to empower the most vulnerable child mothers in Kisii county-Kenya.

At the centre these young mothers will be offered access to education and economic empowerment through training and skills development.

The project activities include

  • Vocational training in tailoring, dress making, knitting, hairdressing, bakery, catering, crafts, music
  • Entrepreneurship training-developing business plans, financial management, marketing
  • Back to school program, where beneficiaries will be offered adult education, home schooling support, formal and informal education
  • Preventative –providing safe spaces for girls to meet and access vital sexual health education
